Citrix Receiver on iPad - Error 183 Started by Michel Balencourt , 26 January 2012 - 10:46 AM Login to Reply 5 replies to this topic Michel Balencourt Members #1 Michel Balencourt 7 posts Posted 26 January 2012 - 10:46 AM Hi all, Our customer, running XenApp citrix connection error could not connect to server 6 servers on Windows Server 2008 R2, wants to be able to connect to the farm using mobile devices such as Android and iOS phones and tablets. So I installed Citrix Receiver (latest version found on Market and iStore) on an Asus Eee Pad (Android) and an iPad, and managed to connect to the farm with both. I encounter (almost) no problems to use it on Android, but I can't get any application to start on the iPad. After it tried to load the application, it gives an error message, and says "Error Number : 183". I connect using a Web Interface. There's no CAG. Do you need more information ? Can you help ? Thanks in advance, MikeEdit : The error message doesn't tell much..."A network error occurred while communicating with "sg.domain.lu". Error Number : 183"Edited by: MBA001 on 26-Jan-2012 06:03 1359-300959-1613378 Back to top Michel Balencourt Members #2 Michel Balencourt 7 posts Posted 27 January 2012 - 08:57 AM Nobody ? I have installed th latest version of citrix http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/362546-error-could-not-connect-to-server-with-new-citrix-receiver-594-on-ipad/ receiver on a new ipad air 2. I have installed the app successfully and configured as web interface connection. I manage to open citrix and see the applications available howver when trying to launch any after a few second I get an error message " cold not connect to server". What bugs me is that it works fine on my old ipad 2 with citrix receiver 5.9.3. I am unfortunately not the best tech person and would really appreciate some support to fix this. I have an nfuse connection and until recently it was working really well. I have been told that citrix has been updated, downloaded what I was told to download from geotrust and added it to my keychain, it still isn't working! I am completely out of my depth with all this and wonder if anyone can explain to citrix connection error me what to do in a very straightforward way? Yours eternally grateful (in advance!) Error number 183... certificate not trusted... How do I let Firefox know to accept the certificate? Is it some other thing? Ideas? [newb here, but I couldn't Search as it is down] #2 sdaviss, Dec 13, 2005 theamazingdylan uix_expand uix_collapse Registered Joined: Feb 13, 2006 Messages: 2 Likes Received: 0 On the client, the server certificate needs to be installed into the cacerts directory for Citrix to see it. Open up Finder, then Open the Applications folder. In Applications you should have a Citrix ICA Client folder. In that folder is a Keystore folder, and inside that is a cacerts folder. Copy the server certificate that was given to you into that folder and you should be all set. Depending on the version of Citrix that is being run on the server, you may need to contact your administrator and tell them that they need to edit their configuration in order to make the client work correctly with safari, because the new version by default attempts to open using a java applet inside of a safari window. #3 theamazingdylan, Feb 1
