Article ID: 23328 Introduction: CDMA devices require the cellular account to beprovisioned to the AirCard. If the account is not provisionedcorrectlyby the service provider, then the AirCard will not authenticate (connect) to the network. Symptoms: Registration error when attempting to connect Resolution: Your mobile device should display the following: "Registration failure. Your username and/or password may be incorrect. Please try again. If this problem persists, you may need to contact 'carrier name'." This is a mobile node (cell phone, data card, mobile hotspot, etc.) failed authentication error. This means thatyour mobiledevice failed to register with the PDSN (Packet Data Serving Node) which is a componentof your carrier's network. This could be a result of improper provisioning or a change to the username or password. If this problem persists, you may need to contact your carrier.
