Since then I've been unable to log into my MSN as Adium keeps giving me Connection Error from Notification Server(messenger.msn.com) Gaim error, writing error. I didn't change any of the preferences after update. I've tried all methods given at your Troubleshooting page. Nothing works. Please advise~! Thank you. BUt my luck is not as good~ I failed after numerous trying. I can log into MSN perfectly well using Windows at my friend's computer~ However my Mac version MSN fails just the same using my own iBook. been working well for a long time, last night niether of us are able to sucessfully connect to MSN! As both my son and myself have this problem, I doubt it's account related. Anyone else having this problem? Gaim configuration details: Login server: messenger.hotmail.com Port: 1863 Use HTTP Method: YES Proxy type: No Proxy I have checked my router firewall, port 1863 is open, I have no firewall log entries that correlate to Gaim establishing a connect, I even disabled my https://trac.adium.im/ticket/3127 firewall breifly just in case. When I attempt to connect to an MSN account, it suceeds for a brief moment then disconnects with this error: dnar_dnar@hotmail.com has been disconnected.
