account only takes a few minutes. Join Now i am having a WSUS issue and would seriously appreciate some help. when i attempt to open WSUS, i get a connection error that tells me to "click here to reset server node" i also have an https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/91726-wsus-connection-error option to copy error to clipboard. WSUS is running on my main AD server. I've tried uninstalling https://jamessummerlin.com/2012/08/28/wsus-connection-error/ and reinstalling and nothing has worked for me. about two months ago, I added a 2008 server machine and made it a domain controller, too. this is pretty much when my problems started and i've tried about every fix that i've found on the net. I should have started here, i know!!!! any help would be greatly appreciated!!! WSUS will hook itself into IIS so just reinstalling IIS wont fix your original problem. Microsoft Servers If you get a screen on your WSUS server that looks like this: Or when trying to connect you get this error: The problem is most likely with your WsusPool in IIS 7.x. Open the IIS 7 Manager and go to Application Pools. Then double-click the WsusPool. The .Net framework version should be set to v2.0.50727 (mine was set to unmanaged). Make certain all settings, including .Net Framework version, are set to what you see here: Click OK then restart IIS 7. Your WSUS console should connect now. I have seen this problem come up after fresh installs. Apparently the installer does not set this setting correctly sometimes. James Like this:Like Loading... Disabling it in my case was the proper solution. Reply Ahmed says: September 23, 2015 at 11:40 pm thanks for the tip Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here...
