Open the Facebook Application then click on the menu button on the mobile phone it will display a LOGOUT button. Please Log Out and then close and open the App again. It will ask you for username and password. It should work fine Reply to this Comment bev says: June 13, 2012 at 6:16 pm hi fantastic advice …it worked !!! thanks Reply to this Comment Akalanka says: July 14, 2012 at 1:48 pm Now that ‘logging out, closing app(stoping the services from the running apps) and re logging in, worked for me. That's I imagine because it deletes all the current data and re starts from the beginning. Therefore I believe anything that causes the app to delete it's current data and re download it will work. Turn off and on the http://javier.inventarte.net/ideas/solved-how-to-fix-connection-lost-error-on-facebook-for-android/ Mobile data. You can do this by going to settings>Data usage> and pressing OFF. I don't personally have a One X, but it should be easy enough to find how to turn it off if my above instructions do not help. 3. Try and connect to different networks. Try connecting to wifi, see if that will allow you on the site. 4. Try going directly to the mobile site. Depending on your location, the mobile site may be different, but I believe in America it is 0.facebook.com? http://androidforums.com/threads/internet-works-fine-but-no-connection-to-facebook.558972/ a quick google search should do it. 5. Try Googling Facebook, and then going into the site from that link. 6. Take a Speed.net test. Its is a free app on the Play store, what it does is measures how fast your internet connection is working. Don't forget to turn off WiFi for this. After you got the results, list them in a comment so I will be able to see them. Good luck! None of those steps need to be taken in any specific order. I hope something clicks for you! ✕ Web Breaking Facebook Connect bug sends the internet to useless error page unreads 35 comments by Jeff Blagdon @blagdon Feb 7, 2013, 7:38p share tweet Linkedin pin facebook bug Some kind of bug with Facebook Connect is ruining the internet, picking people up and sending them to a useless error page. We can confirm that the bug is affecting numerous major sites, from Huffington Post and Salon, to our sister sites Polygon and SBNation, and even NBC News. If you’re being affected, it appears that logging out of Facebook remedies the situation. We’ve reached out to Facebook for comment, and will let you know as soon as we hear anything. Update: That was quick. According to our developers, the issue has already been rectified. Facebook has also issued a statement, but it's choosing to keep quiet on exactly what went wrong. “For a short period of time, there was a bug that redirected people logging in with Facebook from third party sites to Facebook.com. The issue was quickly resolved, and Login with Facebook is now working as usual.” Via: The Next Web More From The Verge A night at the AI jazz club The latest Rogue One trailer: a breakdown of all its hidden clues Google News launches fact check feature ahead of Election Day Fujifilm X-T2 review: for the love of photography New York City cops are now part of the Windows Phone 1% Hillary Clinton reveals stance on heated GIF debate Trending Stories Projectors are better, simpler, and probably cheaper than you think US National Archives launches new collection of free historical GIFs This Article has a component height of 4.
