I have made all the correct settings and have allowed the IP and username to relay on Exchange server (2003). Check the cable and the hub. Otherwise, the server name or the host name of the SMTP server is not set correctly. Use COMMAND CENTER and register the SMTP server name and the host name correctly. If you can print to the 5050, you know the network connection to the machine is fine. I'd try using the IP address of the exchange server first. If this fixes it, check the DNS settings in the copier. If that doesn'

I have a Kyocera CS 3050ci configured to scan to email using a local Exchange server. The thing works fine except on a few occasions when it prints out an error that says "Error Type : Transfer" with no real details about the error. The funny thing is connection error that the scan to email job sends through just fine. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Do you have a fix? We've ignored the error mostly, but it happens frequently enough that it's an annoyance (and waste of paper). For some reason Kyocera decided to not print that on the error sheet that prints out. Most likely the Server is responding with a message the Kyocera is interpreting as an error.
