If it does that means that you have to type that in under WEP/WPA when setting up your "Infrastructure" connection on your PSP. Also check if the SSID is correct (meaning the network's SSID/name), the connection name is something you can make up or choose. But yea, it's most likely WEP/WPA problem. If you can't find those...well ask the person who set up your wireless network to tell you. It's most likely saved somewhere around your house, since it's well...sort of like a password and if you forget it's sort of hard to figure out later. BEST OF LUCK. Keep on posting if you need more help. The only reason I see the end to things is just so I can get my head out of the adventure. Which reminds me...it's better to dream and imagine. we highly recommend that you visit our Guide for New Members. Having trouble connecting to the internet with my PSP. Discussion in 'Networking' started by battlefield1113, Mar 3, 2011. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement battlefield1113 Thread Starter Joined: Mar 3, 2011 Messages: 4 And I'm SICK of it. I've had this problem since November. Back when I got my Actiontec GT704WGB router/modem(It's one of those ones that doubles as a router/modem.) My ISP is Verizon. I have McAfee is my anti-virus. Every time I try to connect it says "A connection error has occurred: The connection point has timed out." I use channel 11, have a 64 byte encrypted WEP key. Yesterday I found a neighbors connection, connected just fine, and it had a signal strength of about 40%. Why on earth can't I connect to my ONE HUNDRED PERCENT CONNECTION BUT I CAN CONNECT TO A FORTY PERCENT CONNECTION?!(Sorry I've been really frustrated.) EVERYTHING can connect to my router EXCEPT my PSP. MY PS3, my parent's computer, my smartphone AND my DS can all connect Here's a list of what I've done: Opened ports in my router: TCP: 80, 443, 5223, 10070, 10080 UDP: 3478,3479, 3 658,10070 MAC filtering Turned off firewall "Power Washed" my modem Turned off my WEP encryption.(When I do this and try to connect my PSP my PSP gives me a long message basically saying: "Check your internet's security settings.") Tried to update my Modems firmware.(today, and it wouldn't update so I assume it's fine.) Before I got this new router I could connect perfectly fine with my old separate router and modem combo. Please help me. I'm at the end of my wits! battlefield1113, Mar 3, 2011 #1 Sponsor etaf Wayne Moderator Joined: Oct 2, 2003 Messages: 60,963 i have moved to the networking forum I ha
