If you are swiping a transaction directly through the Virtual Terminal,the credit cardmagnetic strip may be damaged, the card reader may need to be cleaned or simply replaced. Ifthe card was swiped through a Sage software application, (e.g.,Sage 50, Sage 100, Intergy, etc.) make sure your Sage Exchange has the credit card error messages correct device (card reader) enabled. Follow these steps to enable your swipe device: Right-click the SE icon in your system tray located at the bottom right of your monitor next to the clock. Select Settings. Enable the correct device.
