When I execute the report from my desktop version, I crystal report get Failed to retrieve data from the database. If I run it from the internet, the report runs to completion. I am unable to determine what the problem is. I have tried verifying the database (database table cannot be found error). Updating the stored procedure (database object cannot be accessed error), Deleting and adding the stored procedure without any success. The only thing I'm trying to do is add a field to the report from the existing stored failed to retrieve procedure. No changes have been made to the stored procedure. No, the stored procedure executes within the report. No changes were made to the stored procedure. I was attempting to drag and drop a field that wasn't previously included on the report. When I select print preview to execute the report, I immediately get the failed to retrieve data error. –user2812707 Sep 5 '15 at 23:45 check the database username and password.. there is a chance that password was different during development and now when you are trying to open –Siva Sep 6 '15 at 16:28 Thanks to Hiten004 and Siva for your help. I deleted, then added the ODBC connection and was able to successfully run the report without any errors. –user2812707 Sep 9 '15 at 16:59 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer? There is a specific report when ran in the server (server has a copy a of CRv11) it runs perfectly. I can modifiy it and re-run it. But when I copy it to my workstation and run it, it gives me a "Failed to retrieve data from database ... [Database Vendor Code: 446] " message. My workstation has its on SQL as does the server. For connection I use ODBC. The thing is that when I use the Server ODBC, my copy of Crystal works, but if I use my local ODBC, it doesn't and gives the message above. I checked both SQL and are the same version version 2000 with latest service. However onbe is developer and the othe personal edition. 0 Question by:rayluvs Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 96 Best Solution byBob Learned I would delete this question, and if you are still having a problem, then reask it again.
