can't connect to the VPN service. I have set it up according to the configuration on the DD-WRT wiki, so the server IP is set to 192.168.1.1, which is the address of the router, and I set up the client addresses to be 192.168.1.20-29. My chap secrets are set up correctly, and still, I get an error 800 on windows XP. As far as I can tell, it means my network is unreachable. The server responds to ping. [Edit] If I manually edit the dd wrt pptp passthrough connection so that instead of "Automatic" I set it manually to "PPTP", it fails. I disabled the enforcing of security, and it still fails. vpn pptp router share|improve this question edited Jun 1 '10 at 15:06 asked Jun 1 '10 at 14:52 MrZombie 232315 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted Rebooting the rooter seemed to clear the problem. share|improve this answer answered Jun 1 '10 at 16:53 MrZombie 232315 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Hak5 Fan ++ Active Members 65 posts Gender:Male Posted January 20, 2011 I was wondering if anyone would know any common issues related to setting up a VPN. I have flashed my WRT54GL router using the dd-wrt vpn bin. I have enabled dd wrt VPN passthrough and setup the VPN under the services tab. I have a custom dns through DynDNS setup in the DDNS tab. Encryption is enabled. I have tried to connect from windows 7, Snow Leopard, my android phone v2.2, and it won't connect. In windows it gives me error 800. I followed the directions on the dd-wrt site, on how to set this up. Anyone know any I can check/do to get this work? Thank you in advance, Phil 0 Share dd wrt pptp this post
 mux Hak5 Fan ++ Active Members 71 posts Posted January 20, 2011 The most common issue I know is that the RSA keys that were created are created using +0 GMT.
