Nvidia MPEG 2 Decoder installed. Yesterday when I installed Vista Ultimate RC1, The MC was working beautifully. Now I just keep on getting the same error: The video decoder has either malfunctioned or is not installed I have installed other software which WILL play DVDs, but Media Centre will NOT. I have not seen any posts here that elaborate further on this issue. I really don't want to do a complete reinstall as I have been at this for over 24 hours solid. If I have the correct codec installed, why do I keep getting this error? Thanks. I did an upgrade to an existing MCE 2005 box to ultimate just this week and eveything worked beatifully. Where did you get the decoder? have you tried MCEDiag? have you tried reinstalling the decoder? -- Josh http://windowsconnected.com Now with NNTP goodness! "MarkyMarc41"
