I have replaced nearly 50 system boards with the same message... can someone own up to the fact or not if the warranty was extended on these??? Could not get a new motherboard from spare parts. Could not get customer service to explain what I was suppose to do with my computer with a dead motherboard. NOWay were they going to replace the motherboard. No warranty on the motherboard. I tried e-mail and direct connect. Nothing. Since we have 2 of the GX280's under warranty at work, I checked those and sure enough, they have the bad motherboards too. Problem with that is so far 2 different motherboard have not worked, first they shippedthe wrong one and

Pressing F1 boots windows just fine and it works just fine throughout the day. I have even done a complete shutdown on the system then booted back up and it comes up fine with no error. This only comes up when it is shutdown overnight. I have pressed F2 to go into the BIOS setup. There is no option https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/86855-dell-optiplex-gx270-thermal-issues-that-i-can-t-find or mention of anything in the BIOS concerning thermal issues or settings. I want to say that was one of the models on recall a while back for replacement system boards for a capacitor issue. Tech Support or your account rep should be able to answer that based on your service tag. Pop the case and look at the system board. See if any of the capacitors are ready to burst or already have. That's always been the problem I have had when thermal errors start showing up.
