It goes to a black screen showing Devices loading and then this error message shows 0 device error on the last line. I can hit F1 to continue which I have been doing and that lets me use the PC as normal. Co-incidently I have been getting messages to back up my hard drive, which I have done. Is the hard drive about to crash or is it a problem I can resolve without send the PC back to the manufacturer? jrtchunter, #1 2011/02/21 wildfire Getting Old Joined: 2008/04/21 Messages: 4,647 Likes Received: 124 Trophy Points: 843 Location: Dundee, Tayside Computer Experience: Intermediate It does look like your HD is failing. Try testing it with seatools (assuming the system is the one listed in your specs). Use the dos version and create a bootable CD, let us know the results.
