The correct outlet will be labeled as Line or will have a picture of a wall jack next to it. Please verify that the telephone cord is connected from the wall jack directly into the correct modem outlet. This drives the CPU to 100% and keeps it there. This slows the computer down considerably. Once I close the manager my System Idle jumps to 75% to 80%. I found that it is impossible to use the Manager and dial up otherwise use the computer for anything else. I have created a dial up access, previously described in this forum, which does not use up the the CPU. Anybody know why VZAccess Manager is so hungry for CPU cycles? I've got an Sierra Wireless MC5725 embedded into a Panasonic Toughbook, and with VZAccess it works fine. I uninstalled VZAccess and configured a dialup connection using XXXXXXXXXX@vzw3g.com as the username and vzw as the password. Dial up is set to #777, but every single time it dials, it returns an Error 678 within two or so seconds. I REALLY want to be able to run the connection without VZAccess!! Thanks! Far from calling you a liar, I suggest the conflict you are experiencing lies in something else on your computer than just vzaccess manager. For what its worth, I run XP pro, an e5200 processor, and two gigs of ram. I
