This article will provide basic troubleshooting for all dialup errors for Windows, plus there may be some more specific troubleshooting steps in the list of errors (if available). If you don't find what you're looking for, please see please try searching https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/Dialup_errors for your specific dialup error on Google, or tryModemHelp.net. Basic dialup error troubleshooting No matter which error you encounter, the following steps may prove useful: Check for outages in your area. Make sure your landline isn't engaged with a fax or phone call. Restart your computer. Check your computer for any viruses or other malware. If you're not sure how to do this, please contact support for your antivirus software provider. Check the manufacturer's tech specs for your dialup modem to confirm it's compatible with your operating system. This may be useful if you have an old dialup modem but a very new operating system - your modem may not have been tested for compatibility with the latest software if that software didn't exist when the modem was manufactured. Most manufacturers will test compatibility as new software releases, unless the product is End of Life or the manufacturer has ceased operations. Reinstall your dialup modem. Perform a winsock reset. DUN/RAS when the connection succeeded. Error 2 Reinstall NCP & DUN. Error 5 (1) Make sure the username and password are correct, with nothing in the "domain" field for NT/2k unless the http://www.megagate.com/support/dial-up-setup/errors/ user should have something there. Error 6 This is a memory issue, try rebooting the computer. A cold boot might be good in this instance. If a reboot doesn't resolve it, this could be a RAM or Swap file issue. Error 20 Make sure dial up the correct modem is selected. Does the modem respond to diagnostics? It may need to be reinstalled. Is RNAAPP loaded into memory after closing the dialer? If so try the RNAAPP fix page. Reinstall NCP/DUN/RAS. Error 71 Is someone connected as you? Been giving out your password? Were you disconnected all of a sudden before this happens? You could be ‘ghosted' on the server. dial up error The ISP can usually "bump" the ‘ghost' off through radius. Reinstall NCP/DUN/RAS. Error 380 Make sure autodial is pointing to the correct dialer. Recreate the dialer. Error 600 Reboot. Make sure that there are no other dialers, fax software, or any other programs that use your modem running. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, if you see RNAAPP loaded, then go to the RNAAPP fix page. Error 601 Press the "More Info.." button under Diagnostics while the modem's COM port is selected. If you get Ati# responses then you may just have to reboot, take out a bum init string, or type ATZ as the init. If this does not work, or is not the case try reinstalling the modem. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, if you see RNAAPP loaded, then go to the RNAAPP fix page. Doesn't look like the modem is working. Refer to computer manufacturer. Error 602 Reboot. Uninstall and Reinstall the modem. Make sure that no other programs are using your modem. Fax software, Supervoice, etc… Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, if you see RNAAPP loaded, then go to the RNAAPP fix page. Error 603 In the modem properties make sure that the port sp

Clients not starting packages error 681 2. 681 errors and POP3 My Exchange 2000 server throws a 681 error every time anyone logs in successfully. The error looks something like this: Source: Security Category: Account Logon User: NT Authority\System Computer: EXHANGESERVER Event ID: 681 Description: The logon to account: USERACCOUNTNAME by: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0 from workstation: EXCHANGESERVERNAME failed. The error code was: 3221225572 I have validated this several times. It is not a hacker. It is me (or my test accounts) logging in. Has anyone managed to resolve this?
