It got detected as a Huawei - E353 in the WebUI but I am not sure it matters since it is recognized as a E5776 in the CLI. Plus, if I try to create a "New 3G Modem Custom Settings" with info gathered from "fnsysctl cat /proc/bus/usb/devices" command, it will just create a new modem with the right name but the same settings (vendor_id & product_id, string_init is the part I am not sure of thought).Anyhow, I got stuck with both following error messages. When I do a config sys modem query, it seems almost fine except for "active profile (AT&V)" which is either followed by ERROR or by RSSI18 (or by RSSI with another number):FGT60D... # diagnose sys modem query USB status: Connectedmanufacturer: huaweimodel: E5776IMEI number: 86....SIM state: Validservice status: Valid Servicesignal level: 3/4network name: 20801network type: E-UTRANlocation area code: CAE1active profile(AT&V):ERRORDoes someone have any idea what could be wrong at this step ?And when I try to run a debug app modemd command, I got the following error no matter what is configured (I am not getting any different behavior that could put me on a lead :/)chat

Make sure it is properly connected and turned on. If it is an internal modem or it is connected, verify that the interrupt for the port is properly set." I have already uninstalled it and the drivers etc. I have run spyware, virus and registry scans. I tried other modems in case it was just a bad modem. I would prefer not to have to format and start from scratch. I have been searching the internet for the past 3 weeks without any fixes. Can anybody please help. But did you installed the Modem after you uninstalled it?. First is to Run this Command in the Run Command Prompt: sfc /scannow click [OK] and wait for it to finish and get your XP CD hand to insert it if it asked you so. Reboot your machine, then Put your Modem CD and select Install Driver form my Modem then it will Prompt you to connect the Modem to the computer do so, then the System will copy the files into your computer and it will ask you to Reboot to finish the installation and set up your User name and Password. When Rebooted and finished the installation, see if you got the Modem Connectivity Lights on the Modem, you will have Three lIghts: 1st : For Power connectivity 2nd: Modem Connectivity 3rd: Data Connectivity If you you can see these light then you have connection, if you can't then try the Diagnostic tool on the Modem and Run it it will show HTML page with the result of testing that took place: Line : Pass Network: Pass Modem: Pass etc... From there
