below error while expanding a distribution group. Any one know whats the problem here? Note that I have this problem only from few computers. But in others cannot perform the requested operation. the command is not valid for this recipient it is working fine. Cannot perform the requested operation. THe command selected is not valid for this recipient. There was an error while expanding the list. Mike Shens reply made me to start looking at the Group type because of the multi-domain environment I am resididing. The majority of our users are still on Exchange 2007. A handful of pilot users are on Exchange 2010. Exchange 2007 users are not affected. All Affected users are also on Outlook expand distribution list 2010. For some Distribution Groups, users get the following error when trying to expand them from Outlook: "Cannot perform the requested operation. The command selected is not valid for this recipient. There was an error while expanding this list, The list was not fully expanded." On all of the affected DLs, the expansion server is set to $null. Not all of the affected DLs are Security Groups. Not all of the affected DLs are Distribution Groups. All of the affected DLs are Universal Groups. All of the affected DLs have members. None of the members of the affected DLs are hidden from the GAL. All of the affected DLs are Mail-enabled. None of the affected groups are Dynamic Distribution Groups. Some Distribution Groups still work for affected users. ACLs are identical between affected and non-affected DLs. The DistributionGroup Role is still on the default.
