I exchanged it for another which did the same thing 2 weeks later. So I went online to research some other brands and found that some people were having the same problem with an Emerson. We think it is cheap parts, and we are refusing to buy another one until they can fix the problem. I would recommend the same, or buy an extended warranty, but be careful. Most of the extnded warranties will only replace the unit once with the same piece of junk and then they consider the warrany "fulfilled" Hope this helps. Also, the first one we owned was about 3 years ago, when the dvd player was separate from the two screens, and that one lasted about a year, and the kids were very rough with it. I dont remember the brand , but we got it from Wal-Mart. Reply to this post Permalink | Report abuse 1 of 2 people think this post adds to the discussion. Do you? Can anyone offer any suggestions? We just bought a new-to-us 2004 Toyota Sienna LXE LTD a few days ago. One of the biggest selling points was the DVD rear entertainment system. Our 6yo daughter absolutely loves it. We had tested the DVD before buying the vehicle, and everything seemed just fine. Today was the first day we had a road trip long enough to really put the DVD system to good use. It worked just fine through a couple of DVDs. Then we went to our friends' ho
