Toshiba Dvd Player Incorrect Disc Message
Points & Levels Blog Safety Tips Consumer Electronics Other - Electronics Next My Dvd Player says "Incorrect Disc"? The only kind of company label I can find on it says "DVD VIDEO". It's a DVD, I bought it like http://www.maxperience.com/en/dvd-players/detail/answer/134358/how-do-i-respond-to-error-message-incorrect-disc-for-dvd-player 2 weeks ago and it's in perfect condition. When I put it in, it tries to read it for like an hour with a 5% chance of actually playing it. Otherwise it says "Incorrect Disc". Help? :( Update: I got it from walmart. I Live in the US. I didn't use different discs, but I used the same disc in a different player and it worked fine. Update 2: The DVD player is like, 4-8 years old. Could it https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100309193556AAyl18T just be dying of old age? Follow 5 answers 5 Report Abuse Are you sure that you want to delete this answer? Assuming you;ve tried various discs to eliminate chance its just a dodgy disc, it will be the lens either dirty or misaligned, I think. If you bought it new it shouldn't be dirty. If you bought it from a store either new or used you should just take it back. You can get lens cleaners from places like WIlkinsons and Debenhams for under £10 but I cant recommend them too strongly - bit hit and miss in my experience. If cleaning doesn't work it will likely be a repair job or bin it - it wont be anything to do with settings or that you're doing anything wrong (unless putting the disc in upside down or something!), so unless a lens cleaner works, you're only option would be to have it repaired. If you knew make and model you might find diy repair instructions on internet but I'd suggest unless you're quite handy it's not easy. I have had a number of cheap dvd players over the years and it does seem to be an area where you get wh
- 14:23 GMTMy daughter received a TeenTech Portable DVD player for Christmas and it worked great for a while, but now we get a "wrong disc" error when trying to play DVD's. CDs http://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/portables/152795.html work just fine. The company said I can ship it to them and http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Video-Players-Recorders/Incorrect-Disc-Message/td-p/151383 pay them to fix it and send it back, but I was hoping maybe someone had another idea how to fix it?? Is this possibly a region code problem that I have been reading about, and if so, does anyone know how to unlock it? Berny Gold MemberUsername: Project6Post Number: 3308Registered: Dec-03 Posted dvd player on Tuesday, August 09, 2005 - 18:48 GMTUnless you are playing disc that are region encoded for another area then it is a player problem. Send it in, otherwise. Terri Robinson New memberUsername: Jessesgirl929Post Number: 3Registered: Aug-05 Posted on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 - 14:35 GMTDoes anyone know how to change the region code for this player so that it's unrestricted? Karlitosway1978 Unregistered guest Posted on dvd player incorrect Wednesday, August 31, 2005 - 00:25 GMTI just bought a portable DVD player and having the same problem however as it was bought online (good old EBay) the shipped is refusing any responsibility as it was second hand. I kinda nee this fixed or my money is down the drain, any ideas if this is a major problem to fix? David Bronze MemberUsername: TalosianLos Angeles, Calif. USA Post Number: 14Registered: Jul-05 Posted on Monday, September 26, 2005 - 16:46 GMTI have the same issue on a new COBY portable. Does anyone know what causes the problem? I have done some "testing" and the problem seems to be mostly with my "Fair Use" back-up programs. It also seems to have to do with the burn speed. Any more thoughts? col645 Unregistered guest Posted on Thursday, December 01, 2005 - 18:20 GMTi have just bought a daewoo dpc-7400p portable dvd player and need the code to be able to play region one anyone help please.
