Open it and see if the disc spins, if not give it a little turn by hand, if it starts spinning the motor is defective. foreman202Unregistered guest Posted on Saturday, January 01, 2005 - 02:19 GMTPanasonic sucks they break bmccooeyUnregistered guest Posted on Wednesday, January 05, 2005 - 16:58 GMTActually, there is a fix for this. It is the spindle. Add a little oil to the spindle and let it sink in. You may want to do a little manual turn to work the oil in. You may have to remove some pieces to get at the spindle, but once you do, fixing it should be a snap. Can't guarantee how long the fix will last though. Just did this myself last night. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/55214/ unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start". If that doesnt work then follow this very useful guide on how to take apart the disk drive in your Panasonic/Denon/Yamaha dvd player, and apply new oil to that dying spindle motor: http://www.crestronforums.org/index.php?showtopic=3 And if anyone has ever expierced
PlayerError Message H07 -... Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share by Email × Question about Panasonic DVD-CV52 DVD Player 3 Answers Error Message H07 - what is it? http://www.fixya.com/support/t114559-error_message_h07 Half-way through watching a DVD (with no previous indications of a problem), the TV screen http://www.techlore.com/forum/thread/11438/panasonic-dvd-rv32-keeps-saying-h07 went blank, then showed the standard "blue screen" with the word "DVD" (like you see at the start of a movie when you first insert the DVD). The player however showed "Error H07", and it would no longer play the DVD. I tried a few other DVDs, no luck. I restarted the player, also no luck. What dvd player does "H07" mean, and does anyone have a fix for it? In the meantime, I will try to clean it as per the previous fix listed for "H02". HO7 message on unit, and not playing any disc. Mike Benneter Jan 24, 2008 Thanks...would have been a great solution to try if I still had my unit. Brought it to a shop, after parts & labour estimate it was not economically feasible to repair, so I bought a new player for half the repair cost.Excellent detail on the proposed solution, if only every "fixya" was that clear. This applies to the cleaner disks as well. Afterwords it justs stops and sits there stupidly. According to various reports, spraying the motor with a small abount of oil or WD-40 may temporarily solve the issue, but the procedure to get to the motor should not be performed by anyone that has little experience in repairing electronics. It seems the only way to permanently fix this problem is to replace the motor. Expect to pay $30 to $50 for the part, plus labor. All-in-all, I would say it is not worth fixing. You could easily replace it with a new, and better, unit. Top Log in or register to post comments Wed, 06/29/2005 - 21:31 Permalink ANFO I had the same problem with I had the same problem with mine. This message occurs when the disc stops spinning at the correct speed. The drive spindle sits in a plastic bushing. The bushing becomes worn and causes the spindle to slow. Putting a drop of oil in it can temporarily fix it. I tried it and then tested it for several hours. The problem returned so I junked it and got a new one. This is a very common problem with the RV32 and generally occurs about the time the factory warranty expires. To
