Hi .Root indicates that the DVD player is set to the Root of the hard disk drive, and for this reason does not display the DVD being played. To get out of this feature you need to press the DVD menu on remote. This is often a button with a disk picture on top or a button with DVD or Disk on it. Im sure its operator error but for the life of me I dont know what Im dvd player not doing. rlaugher Top Reply with quote by BrianCee » Sun Jan 23, 2005 6:36 pm Maybe I'm not reading your post quite right but I don't see any indication that you actually created chapters - if you did create chapters were you able to select them in the simulated DVD player in the burn module before actually burning your DVD ?? If you select and play the "Root Directory" does the whole video dvd player root then play ? or what happens ?? BrianCee Top Reply with quote by rlaugher » Sun Jan 23, 2005 9:26 pm Thanks for reply I tried to create chapters and got same thing video works great on dvd simulator but still gets only root dir. on dvd player I can play only video off root no sounds or menus. This is what I did Created project with audio imigages videos etc. then saved in mpg format then (abc.vsb) went to share opened abc.mpg this was the only thing in add chapters created menus and back ground burned plyback ok then burned cd. rlaugher Top Reply with quote by BrianCee » Mon Jan 24, 2005 1:15 pm You *tried* to create chapters ??? - can I suggest you have a look at my website (WWW button below) and have a look at the two pages entitled "Create a DVD" - I am still not sure what you are actually doing - do you run through the video selecting chapter points and "Add" them to you menu page. Sorry if it's just me not understanding but could you run through your actual process step by step - maybe someone else has an answer ?
