Apparently, the best solution to this problem (if it's worth the time, and I don't think it is) is to replace the spindle motor with something

PlayerError Message H07 -... Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Pinterest Share by Email × Question about Panasonic DVD-CV52 DVD Player 3 Answers Error Message H07 - what is it? http://www.fixya.com/support/t114559-error_message_h07 Half-way through watching a DVD (with no previous indications of a problem), the TV screen went blank, then showed the standard "blue screen" with the word "DVD" (like you see at the start of a movie http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/55214/ when you first insert the DVD). The player however showed "Error H07", and it would no longer play the DVD. I tried a few other DVDs, no luck. I restarted the player, also no luck. What dvd player does "H07" mean, and does anyone have a fix for it? In the meantime, I will try to clean it as per the previous fix listed for "H02". HO7 message on unit, and not playing any disc. Mike Benneter Jan 24, 2008 Thanks...would have been a great solution to try if I still had my unit. Brought it to a shop, after parts & labour estimate it was not economically feasible to repair, so I bought a new player for half the repair cost.Excellent detail on the proposed solution, if only every "fixya" was that clear. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start". If that doesnt work then follow this very useful guide on how to take apart the disk drive in your Panasonic/Denon/Yamaha dvd player, and apply new oil to that dying spindle motor: http://www.crestronforums.org/index.php?showtopic=3 And if anyone has ever expierced a problem with a Panasonic/Denon/Yamaha DVD player regarding one of these problems please post your story and make sure you complain to Panasonic. We shouldnt let them get away with this. I f
