Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content 04-03-2011 05:17 PM After owning 3 insignia player's a 2 WBRDVD and one "3" model, they all suffer the same fate, esp home burned dvd's they will not load and just says NO DISC.You know it's gunna happen once you load the disc, you can hear a double rattle sound from the drive.Well having nothing better to do this morning I decided to pull the cover and see whats going on, the drive is SATA based so possibly a aftermarket Blu-Ray PC drive might be altered and mounted in the case like I did with a older Vinc dvd player 5 yr's ago.Well get to the FIX......With the cover off I put a lil pressure on the center plastic disc that keeps the disc down when the laser assembly moves upward....it Loaded!!So i figured the disc

I'm having the same problem from an Initial 7inch dvd player I just purchased from an E-Bay seller.I popped in a dvd and the screen displayed the "loading" prompt, but after a few minutes it read "no cd". The dvd compartment doesn't portable dvd player even turn, but the screen works beautifully. Do I just need to get rid of it or can it be fixed at a reasonable cost? It can be any number of things. On my portable DVD player, some of the problems were traced to one of the following: The DVD is not properly set in the cradle, The battery power left in the rechargeable batteries was not strong enough and needed to be replaced, The Lens needed to be cleaned on the player. I've had two DVD players stop working in this way, but never figured out why because the repair cost was much more than to just buy a new player. Top Log in or register to
