Before taking it to the service center here, I'd like to know whether you could suggest an easy (i'm not a hardware DIY man at all) or simple solution? Note that the unit is not trying to load anything! This is a generic error message used for any problems the unit is having, or with a disc the unit cannot read. It may as well say "HELP ME" or "PROBLEM DETECTED". If your unit will read/play CD and CD-R, but not any DVD (burned, blank or retail pressed "store bought"), then the unit may have a dead burne

How To Fix A Cd Player That Says No Disc
15:24:28 Specs: Toshiba DVR620KU DVD recorder/player Got a new Toshiba DVD Recorder/Player model DVR620KU (got the setup completed successfully) then inserted a blank Sony DVD+RW to record a local news segment that interest me ( so then http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vcr-repair/2008-fixing-jvc-dvd.html it said Load and is automatically formatting the blank DVD) then it displayed this error message "Recording Error Cannot record on this disc"...I was able to record successfully the first time also on a blank DVD+RW but I did not protect and finalize that first one. The fist project that worked is on a memorex DVD-R. the second project is on jvc dvd player a "Verbatim DVD-R Life series" We thought there was a problem with the DVD so we burned a second DVD and the second DVD has the same issue. Both of the DVD's that have the issue are the "Verbatim DVD-R Life series". What Am I doing wrong? Back to top #2 Jim_Hardin Jim_Hardin Digital Guru Digital Guru 39,444 posts Gender:Male Posted 26 December 2012 - 07:45 AM I prefer using the 'Plus' media, however, that has nothing to do with this Of course Verbatim (Singaore) are Good!The fact that it plays on your PC indicates a successful burn, assuming you are using Player Software to play it and not just something that can read/play VOB files...Keeping strictly to the DVD Capacities will be a big help:4.7 GB = 1 hour8.5 GB = 2 hoursYou should also try them in different Players to see if yours is the problem.Let us know how you make out with this! Then I burn it using CD Creator 6. PowerDVD can play it. JVC DVD Player shows ERROR. If you get any read dots - you know something else.
