"There are two ways to solve this. One that's simple, and one that takes a little more effort. In the end, it depends if you want DVD Player to remember where you've left off on the discs you've viewed. Go to: User Library > Application Support > DVD Player. Inside the DVD Player folder is one called Settings. If you don't care whether or not DVD Player remembers where you left off on the discs you've viewed, trash the Settings folder. Look at where it says 'Settings File' at the bottom of the window. Though there's a 'Reveal' button, it's always grayed out on my system -- but it may work for you. - Support - Discussions searches this thread was all I could find regarding that error.Personally vlc mac I don't think it's an issue with my DVD drive. VLC was able to play my DVD fine. Moreover I tried rebooting and vlc player download deleting the file com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist in ~/Library/Preferences. My disk was also clean.Anybody else have any ideas? I'll post a screen shot when I get a chance of the error and if I find a solution I'll post it https://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120205155310AAURRpm also. UPDATE: Today I came home and installed some software and ended up doing another reboot thus clearing up this issue. Hopefully this issue was just a one shot deal but I would consider this a resolved issue.
