I have done some "testing" and the problem seems to be mostly with my "Fair Use" back-up programs. It also seems to have to do with the burn speed. Hello, My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be glad to assist you.The Settings on the TV have nothing to do with this problem. The issue is with the Memorex DVD player. The issue you're having is due to the laser lens being either contaminated (dirty), or faulty (scratched or mis-aligned).Follow the steps below to determine and attempt to cure the issue. You can try several methods of cleaning the laser lens to see if it helps clear up the problem. The first is to purchase a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner disc, and run it through the system several times. If your player is not reading any discs at all though, then try purchasing a can of compressed air (available at Staples, or Wal-Mart). Open the CD drawer, or remove the cover of the player by removing the screws on the sides and rear of the unit. Then spray the can approximately 10" from the lens to blow any dust off of it. If it still doesn't work, you can opt to clean the lens eye itself, by using isopropyl alcohol, and a lint-free cloth to gently w

Your USB cable should have two USB Type-A male plugs on the computer end. Only one actually carries data, but the second plug is required for the extra power. Before attempting to burn any information, you should at the very least test the drive with a production-stamped music CDs and DVDs to see if they play properly. That will ensure that your version of Windows has recognised the drive and installed the correct drivers.91 Views · View Upvotes · Answer requested by Kelly WheelerRelated QuestionsMore Answers BelowHow can you fix a DVD/CD writer that fails to read/write the DVD rom but can read the CD rom?I bought Manga Studio 5 on disc and my CD drive won't read it.
