all of your help! Humpa24th July 2007, 00:18clean the dvd It sounds like there is either something wrong with the dvd or the dvd drive. You shouldn't get any errors reading the disc - if you http://www.dvdfab.cn/faq/?type=dvd_copy do, you might want to consider returning the disc (that's what I do on the rare occasion that I have gotten errors). Unless this happens with all your disc's, of course. denialgal28th July 2007, 04:23it is doing it with every single dvd I back up using dvdfabdecrypter. It says 'error while reading! please choose what to do? retry...abort...ignore...ignore all' and I always choose ignore all. When I do this the film has a http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-128230.html little glitch in all the places that there is an error read. Anyone else have further suggestions? setarip_old28th July 2007, 04:39Hi!it is doing it with every single dvd I back up using dvdfabdecrypter. Are these recently purchased NEW DVDs, recently purchased USED DVDs, or DVDs that you purchased some time ago? I ask this because, other than on rare occasion (bad pressing), NEW DVDs should not create this situation under DVDFab Decrypter - whereas OLD and/or USED DVDs certainly could create this situation. A silly question, perhaps, but I'll ask it anyway: Are you actually using "DVDFab Decrypter" or "DVD Decrypter"? If, in fact, you are using DVDFab Decrypter and are running into this problem with recently purchased NEW DVDs, your DVD reader/burner may be at fault. 1) Try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on it. Maxell makes one that sells for approximately $10US 2) If possible, slow down the read speed 3) Select "Retry" instead of "Ignore all" denialgal17th August 2007, 04:03These would be recently purchased used dvds that are newer films. For example, I bought Stranger than Fiction and had problems with it. I bought Pan's Labrynth and had the same problem with it. I also had the same problem with Happily N'Ever After. I have been using DVDFab decrypter because dvd decrypter will not allo

I've run into a problem while using DVDFab Platinum to make a backup copy of a DVD boxset of "The Life of Birds", http://www.cdrlabs.com/forums/dvdfab-read-errors-t22730.html produced by the BBC. As soon as the app starts the analyzing section of the copy, I get a popup box titled "Reading/Writing Error Control". The text of the box reads "Error while Reading! Please choose what to do?" dvdfab error The box presents four buttons: "Retry", "Abort", "Ignore", "Ignore All" If I select retry, ignore or ignore all, it will fail again. Selecting 'abort' just kills the app. Can anyone provide any help with this? The boxset is a few years old but in excellent condition, no apparent scratches, etc. No problems watching the program. Thanks in advance, Welcome to to CDFreaks forum, this is indication look like that the video you are trying to copy is protested disc. Since you have the DVDFAB Platinum, you should be OK. Make sure: 1) You have enough free space in your hard drive (at least 1.5X size of the DVD you are trying to copy). 2) Defrag you hard drive. 3) Empty you temp files from temp folder. 4) Empty you recycle bin. 5) Ensure that you DVD burner are in DMA position. 18-05-2007 #3 t0nee1 MyCE Resident Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Sokali Posts: 3,364 Re:

Post a reply 7 posts • Page 1 of 1 DVDFab 3.0.5.0 - read errors by algrinch on Fri Dec 22, 2006 12:26 pm I recently downloaded the latest version of DVDFab 3.0.5.0 and started getting read errors while decrypting. I was offered the options of 'Retry', 'Abort', 'Ignore' or 'Ignore All'. (the disc was clean) I was able to decrypt the movie but would have to select 'Retry' 5 to 10 times throughout the process and the read speed would be very slow. The read errors occurred for every movie that I decrypted. For testing purposes I put in "Monsters Inc" and it tried it with 3.0.5.0. - read errors occurred. I reverted to version 3.0.2.5 and "Monsteres Inc" decrypted with no problem and no read errors. DVD Drive - Liteon SOHW1693S Firmware KSOB The drive works fine for all other functions including burning the movies that were eventually decrypted. I am going to stick with 3.0.2.5 for the time being, but wondered if anyone else had similar problems? I should have been more clear, Yes it is DVDFab Decrypter. I used DVD Decrypter for the longest time, but ran into a couple of movies with the latest version of Sony copy protection. I screwed around with a couple of different programs that handled the settings for DVD Decrypter and then ended up using DVDFab Decrypter. I am not really up on the best way of backing up DVD's. I had been using DVD Decrypter and an older version of DVD2one for a long time. The 3.0.2.5 version worked for everything that I tried. I only updated to 3.0.5.0 because it was available. When it caused the problems I went bac
