Ntvdm System Error Windows 10
Member Members 92 posts Posted 05 October 2009 - 07:15 PM Hi, Got malwared last night and I've spent most of today getting ntvdm has encountered a system error the parameter is incorrect rid of it. I used Malwarebytes Anti, ATF Cleaner, and SuperANTISpyware. It "appears" to be gone but I'm still stuck with this NTVDM message that pops up whenever I log on. It says "NTVDM has encountered a http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/250108/ntvdm-has-encountered-a-system-error/ System Error c0h Choose 'Close' to terminate the application". Most of the time, when I hit close, it appears again almost immediately, occasionally more than twice. This sometimes causes my system to freeze. And when it doesn't freeze, I still have the problem of the 'System Idle Process' in my Task Manager (process tab) unable to stop. Thus I constantly hear that "crunching" sound in my system. And this, I think, is causing my system https://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?/topic/173164-ntvdm-has-encountered-a-system-error-16-bit-ms-dos-subsystem to run a lot slower. Reminds me of the old 98 SE days. Actually, I'm finding that the "crunching" stops after about 20 minutes. All I need is to fix this error and stop that message from appearing, putting hopefully everything back to normal. I'm trying to avoid doing a fresh install of XP. Backing up stuff won't be fun with this error I got. Ideas? Thanks.
