Mode Error 1619 Author Message ajoliver1 Total Posts : 22 Scores: 0 Reward points : 0 Joined: 8/17/2007 Status: offline Error 1619 Monday, August 20, 2007 3:12 PM (permalink) 0 I'm trying to deploy an application (MSI), but it's failing http://www.myitforum.com/forums/Error-1619-m163123.aspx and I get "a failure exit code of 1619" when I check out the event log. I'm able to manually deploy the app when I copy the files over from the SMS server and use the same command I have entered into the program. Any thoughts? If the command works manually shouldn't SMS be able to deploy the application? #1 tbrennan Total Posts : 454 Scores: 121 Reward points : 8440 Joined: error 1 8/6/2003Location: Salem, Oregon Status: offline RE: Error 1619 Monday, August 20, 2007 3:17 PM (permalink) 0 That means the msi is not in the DP folder, check your DP for the source Tim Brennan MCSE SMS/SCCM Engineer ♠♣♥♦ #2 joemonkey Total Posts : 311 Scores: 2 Reward points : 18450 Joined: 2/28/2007Location: Kentucky Status: offline RE: Error 1619 Monday, August 20, 2007 3:20 PM (permalink) 0 Are you running with administrative rights and/or altiris error 1 allowing users to interact with the program? In theprogram environment are you running with the UNC name? If so, is the Package Data Source tab checked to contain source files, and have a UNC in the Source directory? post the actual command line as well if you don't mind #3 ajoliver1 Total Posts : 22 Scores: 0 Reward points : 0 Joined: 8/17/2007 Status: offline RE: Error 1619 Monday, August 20, 2007 3:27 PM (permalink) 0 The MSI is definitely in the distribution point folder and I am running the install with admin. rights, but without allowing users to interact with the program. I'm also running with the UNC name and have the tab checked that source files are contained. msiexec /i software.msi -quiet The command works fine when I run it manually. Thanks. #4 jsandys Total Posts : 1438 Scores: 131 Reward points : 71080 Joined: 3/24/2005Location: San Antonio, TX Status: offline RE: Error 1619 Monday, August 20, 2007 3:39 PM (permalink) 0 Have you tried running the command using the msi from the dp; e.g., msiexec /i \\smsserver\dp$\pkg\software.msi? #5 ajoliver1 Total Posts : 22 Scores: 0 Reward points : 0 Joined: 8/17/2007 Status: offline RE: Error 1619 Monday, August 20, 2007 3:45 PM (permalink) 0 That worked just fine.
