yProxy is unable to bind to the Local (Proxy) Port that you have configured. That port is probably already in use. Thursday, September 06, 2007 6:27 AM 0 Sign in to vote The problem is that binding and unbinding to endpoints is a costly operation for the Operating System.. And it takes a while before it is performed... If you want to speed up this process you'll have to find a way to pass in the option SO_REUSEADDR (i can't remember the .net equivalent right now) to notify the OS that the resource has to be cleaned up faster (and thus make it available faster)...serverSocket.SetSocketOption(SocketOptionLevel.IP, SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress, true);(Another interesting setting could be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\TcpTimedWaitDelay) Thursday, September 06, 2007 7:15 AM 0 Sign in to vote thnks a lot But i didnt get that interesting setting " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\TcpTimedWaitDelay)" Thursday, September 06, 2007 8:09 AM 0 Sign in to vote You can read about the

Errors in Webserver Stress Tool For high traffic https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/1213-how-can-i-solve-an-error-10048-address-already-in-use-in-webserver-stress-tool scenarios this message shows a problem on the workstation running Webserver Stress Tool. The IP stack can't create additional outgoing TCP/IP connections because it runs out of available socket numbers for the IP address(es) that you have configured in Webstress. This error occurs when your workstation cannot allocate new sockets. On Windows the default limitation is 5000 - 1024 open sockets (5000 is the default max user port setting and the first 1024 ports are reserved). You can increase the default maximum socket value in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Tcpip/Parameters and add or modify the MaxUserPort value. Possible causes? up vote 5 down vote favorite 2 I'm writing a custom TCP server and client and on doing a ton of requests (60,000 to be exact) I begin to get this socket error of 10048, which should mean "the address is already in use." The error keeps happening unless I pause the process for like 2 or 3 minutes and then bind error 10048 begin it again, and then it begins to bring up the same error a short while after restarting it. If I pause the client process and restart the server process, I still get the same error on the client. So it is a complete client side problem. This does not make sense though, this error only usually occurs when binding and this error happens on the client and not the server. What could be the possible reasons for it? A small excerpt of my initialization: TcpClient client = new TcpClient(); client.Connect("XXXXX -- some ip", 25000); client.NoDelay = true; NetworkStream clientStream = client.GetStream(); Also, everything else seems to be working fine(including the amount of time it takes to send back and forth) and this works perfectly when using 127.0.0.1 but when putting it on another LAN computer I begin to get the 10048 error. Is there something wrong with how I initialize it? What else could cause this error on the client side? c# networking sockets load-testing share|improve this question edited Mar 29 '10 at 20:22 asked Mar 29 '10 at 20:15 Earlz 25.7k56207400 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote

If you put the collection client in diagnostic mode by using diagnostic=1 (for 3.2, 3.3 and 7.0) or diagnostic=2 (7.5) as the last line in \bin\CPS.INI file, stop and restart the ZAM collection client service you will see the error 'WinSock Library, bind, Socket: 312, Error Code: 10048 listener creation failure' within the client's trace window. Resolution Check:1. Be sure that the port used by the collection client is open in a bidirectional manner. The port needs to be opened for outgoing and incoming messages.2. Check to see if the collection client's host is available. You can check by looking within the Process Control Panel within the ZAM Manager or by using the Windows Task Manager for the process Colsvrcore.exe on the Collection Server Machine. Colsvrcore.exe is the main executable for the collection server. It gets started by Colsvr.exe and Colsvr.exe passes Colsvrcore.exe it's user name and password to access the Filestore folder. If Colsvrcore.exe is not running you will get a listener creation failure message since the client cannot connect to its host.
