Mysql Server Error 1067
vote 8 down vote accepted Examine error log (start eventvwr.msc). MySQL typically writes something to the Application log. In very rare cases it does not write anything (I'm only aware of one particular bug http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=56821, where services did not work at all). There is also error log file, normally named .err in the data directory that has the same info as written to windows error log. share|improve this answer answered Feb 7 '11 at 19:39 Vladislav Vaintroub 3,1981119 add a comment| up vote 14 down vote You need to: stop the MySQL service: Open mysql path\data Remove both ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1. Aug 22 '14 at 10:23 This worked for me, and no data loss. The files are recreated on restart. on Windows the delete files is at ProgramData. I don't know the reason. –zeddarn Oct 26 '14 at 17:48 Thanks a lot mate. You saved me..! –smashIT Apr 28 '15 at 12:51 Very helpfull answer.... –Developer Desk May 6 '15 at 10:07 | show 1

Apache Error 1067
I'm fairly new to MySQL and have encountered an installation problem. I am trying to install the windows service. Running sql server error 1067 mysqld --install seems to work OK and the service appears in the Services index as MySQL set to automatic. However, when I try and start the service I get the following error: Could http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4758844/error-1067-the-process-terminated-unexpectedly-when-trying-to-start-mysql not start the MySQL service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The program terminated unexpectedly. MySQL is installed at C:\Program Files\MySQL\mysql\ The service has the correct path to the executable & the registry seems to be correct. Any help would be very much appreciated - many thanks. The Log file was full. I had open the my.ini file and increase the innodb_log_file_size variable. Thanks share|improve this answer answered Jun 13 '13 at 17:18 Mike 241236 Yes, the default log file size is now 50MB instead of the old 5MB. If you were running with a log file size of 5MB, this was probably a bad bottleneck for you! –Bill Karwin Jun 13 '13 at 17:23 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote I had the same issue the other day. Try this, it should work! Right click on MySQL Notifier -> Actions -> Manage Monitored Items Highlight the MySQL56 entry
