I am trying to install the windows service. Running mysqld --install seems to work OK and the service appears in the Services index as MySQL set to automatic. However, when I try and start the service I get the following error: Could not start the MySQL service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The program terminated unexpectedly. MySQL is installed at C:\Program Files\MySQL\mysql\ The service has the correct path to the executable & the registry seems to be correct. Any help would be very much appreciated - many thanks.
