Does it mean the visitor can't connect to the server? If yes, I think it's normal you will get the above error. Internally, AJAX use XmlHttpRequest to request different resources in a similar way that the browser does. It requires connection to the server. And the status code 12029 means : ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT

I find that if I do a network trace, they are '301: Permanently Moved' and then are aborted. The strange part is this is only happening in our DEV environment http://stackoverflow.com/questions/33652374/receiving-a-12029-error-code-in-angular-mvc-application (after we check-in the code gets automatically moved to the DEV environment) and it is only happening to me. Additionally, I am running IE9 when I get this error, however, it is in a corporate environment, so my settings are pretty standard (and mostly untouchable). Note that this does not happen in Chrome or in any of the other environments (localhost or anything above DEV) I'd be happy to provide any more information that will be helpful, I just never encountered this in the last 7 or so years in web development so I'm not sure what would help determine why this is happening. angularjs asp.net-mvc asp.net-mvc-4 internet-explorer-9 http-status-code-301 share|improve this question asked Nov 11 '15 at 14:12 JasonWilczak 1,319821 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer?
