Method 1: Check your CD/DVD The error might occur if the setup CD or DVD is dirty. Use a CD/DVD cleaning kit or a lint-free cotton cloth to clean the media side of the disk from the center of the disk to outside. Check with your CD-drive manufacturer and Microsoft Knowledgebase to see if there are any known issues for the CD/DVD model on your system.
