Go to the Download updates page and download the latest update for your software: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows In my case, I navigated to the file in the Downloads folder and double clicked - it gave the usual messages about allowing changes to the PC, etc, and started to install the update. It stopped with the same Error 1328 message, but this time it gave me an option to Ignore (along with Retry and Cancel). I clicked Ignore and the update install continued. It Finished and says it was installed successfully. I hope this helps you...Best wishes, Cheryl Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions Go

This error can happen during the repair process, as well as other times when installing, updating, or uninstalling any version of QuickBooks, not just Enterprise. Most of the time this error 1328 error is harmless and if "Ignore" is continually selected, the process will complete successfully. The message received usually refers to a specific file. The error looks something like: c:\config.msi\PT**.TMP. The file name in the error message may not be the same as shown here, but the C:\config.msi\ path will be the same. While this may seem repetitive, there are actually two possible situations to resolve shown here. The difference is the way error 1328 config.msi the Error 1328 presents itself with the option buttons. Situation 1: If the Error 1328 contains the buttons Abort, Retry, and Ignore the first step is to rename the config.msi folder on the computer. Temporary (.tmp) files in the config.msi folder prevent QuickBooks from finishing the process it is using. The config.msi folder is a temporary repository for storing scripts needed to roll back an installation if it fails. Once the program installs correctly, the contents of this folder are deleted. Sometimes they are unable to be removed, so they become stuck. Once they are stuck, they can cause problems with QuickBooks repairing or updating itself. To locate the config..msi file, follow the steps below: Open Windows Explorer (right-click on the Start button and select Explore) Double-click on the C: drive Show hidden files and folders (Tools > Folder Options > Select View tab >Hidden files and folders > select Show hidden files and folders > Click Apply and OK) Show protected operating system files (Tools > Folder Options > Select View tab > Deselect Hide protected operating system files > Click Apply and OK) Right-click config.msi and select Rename Add .old to the end of the filename and press Enter (the filename should now be Config.msi.old) Hide protected operating system files and hidden files
