Cannot Perform This Operation While Sqlserveragent Is Starting
to the SQL Server database engine msdb database. This happens because either the rights to the user running SQL Server Agent have been revoked, or the server instance name has been renamed. Check the rights of the agent account. If I try to run the job In SQL Management Studio I get an error saying: SQLServerAgent is not currently running so it cannot be notified of this action. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 22022). I made sure that SQLServerAgent was in fact running and tried running the job again (from SQL Managment Studio) but still got the same message. I found this knowledge base article which is telling me that I have to edit the Registry in order to resolve the problem.
