Are you installing from an Office CD or an Office Admin Point? Is this a Trial version of Office 2003 or an Office 2003 Enterprise Edition or ? Trial Editions are not supported on Terminal Server. See if these steps match those that you are following. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828955/en-us?FR=1 ======= message news:com | Hi, | | been onto the concierge service and they pointed me here, | I am trying to install Office 2003 Pro on server 2000 with Terminal | services, got all the way through to registering product and then got | this message: | | Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 -- Error 2932. 2004. Tonia Guest Is there anyone out there that could help me with this issue? Our office pc had Office 2000XP installed on pc at one time;however, it is not there now. I tried reinstalling it from CD. Entered in Product Key and it starts to install -- at the very end I get an Error 2932. I look it up on microsoft website; however, it is very vague. Example: Problem caused by: 1-NTFS, 2-install on Windows 2000; etc. It is NTFS and Windows 2000. Is there something other than that? It http://www.textndata.com/forums/microsoft-office-professional-edition-2003-a-461405.html is currently installed on 4 other pc's that are W2KPro operation systems and Office 2000XP applications work fine. Thanks for your assistance. Tonia, Jan 30, 2004 #1 Advertisements Show Ignored Content Want to reply to this thread or ask your own question? It takes just 2 minutes to sign up (and it's free!). Tried turning off anti-virus, 2003 error 2932 set Service to Automatic instead of Manual, have done multiple registry scan/repairs thru various programs. Saw a suggestion somewhere that I'd have to uninstall Office 2003 and re-install. So that's where I am now - it's uninstalled, but I can't re-install it! Have also been led thru uninstalling and reinstalling the latest installer. No change. Tried to reinstall Office via Safe Mode, but it tells me the installer is not available in Safe Mode. Tried to download and install OpenOffice instead, get same error message but with different bracketed code. Details: XP Office 2003 (from CD) Error 2932. I am using the latest installer provided by Microsoft – Windows Installer 3.1 (V2) [WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe]. During each and every installation requiring Windows Installer, I always get the same error message - "Product: ______. The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2932." Microsoft’s Event Viewer simply restates what I see during the failed install. The link to the Help and Support Center provides no additional information on Error 2932. The installer runs successfully until it approaches the end of the install, ends abruptly, and then displays the error message. I have experienced this error message with the following failed installations: - KB934392 – Security Update for Word 2000 - KB934447 – Security Update for Excel 2000 - KB934526 – Security Update for Office 2000 - Itunes Setup - Quicktime Installer - JAVA update I’ve scoured the MS Knowledgebase and the web thoroughly. Most references address problems about installing MSI or getting it to work once installed. MSI always runs for me. It simply fails to complete the job. I have done the things that follow but none has improved MSI’s performance: - Uninstalling this version of WI, reverting to the previous versi
