I've no idea what this one is. Error code 4. = Hardware Problem. Have you had any recent hardware problems that are making you do this install ?More information is required from your end at this point -Have you attempted to do anything else, except install XP from a Genuine Microsoft Install CD, and is this a Re-install / Repair Install / or Fresh install ?I was going to ask you to run a quick program, but can the problem unit operate in any way ? Load any drivers needed for SCSI or SATA that you have need for. If that is not the problem, delete all partitions, re-partition drive and complete the format in NTFS. If still a problem, you have a hardware error, I'd start by checking ram with memtest86. If ram is good, re-arrange the cards in PC (while off and unplugged with rubber gloves), nothing next to graphic card and if you have both sound and network cards (or modem), space them out too.
