Free 7.0.1474 unable to automatically update: access is denied « on: November 03, 2012, 05:06:59 AM » diskpart has encountered an error access is denied Hello. I've used avast! as my anti-virus software for the best part of three years, and for the majority of that time I have had no issues. However, over diskpart has encountered an error access is denied format the past couple of days my version seems unable to update from the client itself anymore, automatic updates aren't working... and I cannot force them to happen by going into the program and telling it to update. Though, I can update virus definitions by downloading the separate .exe file from the avast! site and running it. From what I

can tell, it seems to be a permissions problem but I have no idea how to solve it; my account is the only one on my PC, meaning I am the administrator.The error I receive when I try to update by going into the client is "Last Encountered Error: Access is Denied".
