S8700 remote connection RAS The 8700 series remote connections differ from the G3 series switches as you must create a RAS connection to remotely access these. Here are the steps involved in doing this. 1. Go to “Start, then “My network places” (Windows XP). 2. Go into “view network connections”. 3. “Create a new connection” 4.
