I selected that my account have full control, but i still get this error. What can I do ? windows-7 file-transfer write-protect share|improve this question edited Sep 28 '14 at 17:20 Kenster 3,37221024 asked Jan 23 '11 at 15:35 Kobe 12118 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted Even though you have full control, if a folder is "read-only" it will prevent you from copying files into it. Full control allows you to change the properties to read/write, and then copy the files. If you could copy files into read-only folders, this would have some unhelpful consequences. However, it would be odd if the root of C is read-only. What folder are you trying to copy into? share|improve this answer answered Jan 23 '11 at 15:48 Steve 1,01683473 Im trying to copy in C:\ not in any folder –Kobe Jan 23 '11 at 15:54 social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistasecurity/thread/… –Kobe Jan 23 '11 at 17:30 @vBx: What happens if you try to copy into say C:\NewFolder\ ? –Steve Jan 24 '11 at 7:45 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
