For backing up my apps I use Titanium backup pro, never had a problem with that.I have had issues trying to use MBR,even the pro version. As far as Contacts,SMS,Call Logs, I use Super Backup. When I used to have issues,I would run titanium back up all my apps, run Super Backup and then 0din,reflash rom or whatever was needed. Hope this helps! synergy7 likes this. Your post was very helpful. I was getting the same message from mybackup " error during backup: unable to open database file " After reading your post I took a look at the space left on my SD Card and discovered that I had ZERO Free Space left on the card. I moved some old backups off the card, clearing up space on the card and MyBackUp worked fine after that. Thanks again. Jan 13, 2012 #4 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) As the utility will make a lot of changes to error during backup the tables I wish to backup the DB in case it falls over part way through and I can 'roll back' the changes by restoring the DB. Creating the backup is no problem at all:- =========================================================== Public Function BackupDatabase() As Boolean vService = New WebServTest.WebServiceTestWse strSQL = "BACKUP DATABASE DIRECTORY 'C:\\DB2\\Temp\\" & Form1.vCurrentHOA & "'" If vService.InsertDataHOA(strSQL, "Utilities & 5328 " & strSQL, Form1.vCurrentHOA) = False Then vService = Nothing Return False End If vService = Nothing Return True End Function =========================================================== But the restore is giving me grief! The following:- =========================================================== Public Function RestoreDatabase() As Boolean vService = New WebServTest.WebServiceTestWse strSQL = "SELECT * FROM HOA_Connections WHERE Connection_ID = " & Form1.vCurrentHOA Dim DS As DataSet = vService.ReturnDataSetHAS(strSQL) Dim DT As New DataTable DT = DS.Tables(0).Copy Dim FilePrefix As String = "Error" For Each Row As DataRow In DT.Rows FilePrefix = Row("Connection_String") Next If FilePrefix = "Error" Then vService = Nothing Return False End If strSQL = "RESTORE DATABASE 'C:\\DB2\\" & FilePrefix & ".db' FROM C:\\DB2\\Temp\\" & Form1.vCurrentHOA & "'" If vService.InsertDataHOA(strSQL, "5354 Utilities " & strSQL, For
