() I just ran spypot first with programs running and next with no "windows" open. I got the above message looks suspicious any thoughts? CubsnCards, Oct 26, 2004 #1 SandiB Private E-2 I ran spybot and got a similar thing. Here's what happened: During spybot update, it paused, refreshed, and then continued. The congratulations no immediate threats were found partially overwrote the following message: Backorifice.B (Datei C:\WINDOWS\wininit.ini Kann nicht geoffnet werden. The it is being used by another process. I ran spybot again and this time it said essentially the same thing except it called itself InternetFun. I checked in the registry and did find an entry for Backorifice.B Guess we need help to eliminate BackOrifice.B . Help, please... Thanks! SandiB SandiB, Oct 26, 2004 #2 kingclyd69 Private E-2 i have also gotten a similar image on a computer i was working on just today.. i am not on it so i dont remember the first part but where you guys had [interfun], or [backorifice.b] i had something else, the rest was the same. maybe its somethin with the update? kingclyd69, Oct 26, 2004 #3 TheDoug MajorGeek The translation is: "File C:\WINDOWS\system.ini cannot be opened." Please notify me? arronwatai, Oct 26, 2004 #6 TheDoug MajorGeek I'd say wait for the author to fix whatever is screwed up... It just seems to be a glitch with this update. It isn't saying it found something, only that it can't open a system file that's in use. TheDoug, Oct 26, 2004 #7 chaslang MajorGeeks Admin - Master Malware Expert Staff Member That's strange.
