OIM/OAM Integration after password reset SSOAccessKey javax.security. auth.login. LoginException March 21, 2012 / OIM / By Atul Kumar http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2012/03/21/autologin-failed-in-oimoam-integration-after-password-reset-ssoaccesskey-javaxsecurity-authlogin-loginexception/ / 1 COMMENTS OAM is Oracle's recommended single sign-on (SSO) solution https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B14099_19/idmanage.1012/b14085/trouble_int002.htm and OIM is recommended user management (including password) and user/role provisioning solution. It is recommended to integrate OIM with OAM so that a) Users accessing application via OAM (Single Sign-On - SSO) can be managed via OIM (self service password reset, account unlock…) b) Users error during managed by OIM (for self service password reset, account unlock…) can access OIM application using SSO (OAM) OIM/OAM 11g installation, configuration & Administration is also covered in my book Test Case: On logon (after forgot password or password reset by administrator) after typing new password, user should not be prompted again for logon. Actual Result: OAM was error during login/password prompting for logon again after password reset. Where to look for logs If you hit issue like this then you should look OIM server log files i.e. $DOMAIN_HOME/ servers/
Directory Integration and Provisioning. It contains the following topics: Oracle Directory Integration and Provisioning Server Errors Provisioning Errors and Problems Synchronization Errors and Problems Windows Native Authentication Error and Problems Microsoft Active Directory and SunONE Directory Server Synchronization Errors and Problems Note:The Oracle directory integration and provisioning server stores error messages in the appropriate file, as described in "Location and Naming of Files". C.2.1 Oracle Directory Integration and Provisioning Server Errors This section provides solutions for errors and problems you may encounter with the Oracle directory integration and provisioning server. Problem PASSWORD POLICY ERROR :9000: GSL_PWDEXPIRED_EXCP. Solution Beginning with Oracle Internet Directory 10g (9.0.4), the default password expiry time, which is assigned to the pwdmaxage attribute, is set to 60 days. To fix this problem, perform the following steps: You must first unlock the cn=orcladmin super user account before you can modify password policies. Use the oidpasswd utility to unlock the super user account as follows: oidpasswd connect=asdb unlock_su_acct=true OID DB user password: OID super user account unlocked successfully. This unlocks only the super user account, cn=orcladmin. Do not confuse this account with the cd=orcladmin account within the default realm cn=orcladmin,cn=users,dc=xxxxx,dc=yyyyy. They are two separate accounts. Launch an Oracle Internet Directory 10g (10.1.2) version of Oracle Directory Manager and navigate to Password Policy Management. You will see two entries: cn=PwdPolicyEntry and the password policy for your realm--for example, password_policy_entry,dc=acme,dc=com. Change the pwdmaxage attribute in each password policy to an appropriate value:
