Encoding Error Idvd
Join Date: May 2008 Location: St. Catharines Posts: 26 Muxing Preparation - iDVD Details: iDVD v. 7 OS 10.5.8 Exported an iMovie project to DVD.....everything is fine. Exported 2 slideshows from iPhoto to iDVD........when I either attempt to burn the DVD or create a file image, just before completion, I get an error: 'Error during muxing preparation (project conversion)" And I am stopped on my tracks. Anyone have a fix for this? On my old Macbook with OS 10.4, http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/idvd-multiplexer-error-during-muxing-prep.750330/ I had no problem including slideshows on a DVD with a movie. Thanks in advance. Solution Before burning your http://www.ehmac.ca/mac-iphone-ipad-ipod-help-troubleshooting/80439-muxing-preparation-idvd.html iDVD project, make sure there is at least 10 GB of hard disk space available on your Mac OS X startup volume. This will ensure that there is enough space for the elements of your iDVD project to be encoded into the DVD-Video format. It will also keep your hard disk from becoming completely full, which could degrade its performance. These days, anyone with a HD over 80 GB/RAM of 2GB or higher needs to be keeping more than 10GB free at all times anyway ... __________________ Cheers chas_m Our life in Victoria BC • Music blog • My Podcast • Film blog Victoria Macintosh Users Group Sep 28th, 2009, 06:02 PM #4 Schaamitty New Neighbour Join Date: May 2008 Location: St. Catharines Posts: 26 Multiplex Erro Okay, that's not it. Bring it into idvd and it starts the idvd multiplexer error burn process like normal. After a while an error message pops up and says there was an error preparing the video muxing, then it stops the burn process. Can anyone tell me what is going on and how to fix it??? Thanks #2 jjbrown View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message View Articles Member Join Date Oct 2007 Posts 36 06-15-200811:00 AM here is the actual error message " multiplexer error There was an error during muxing preparation (project conversion)." #3 Batutta View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message View Articles Senior Member Join Date Mar 2005 Location Planet 10 Posts 6,960 06-15-200811:06 AM Muxing is when the encoder takes the audio and video and codes them together into a single MPEG stream. Idvd must be choking on your quicktime movie. Maybe try encoding it in a different format. Idvd seems to like 720x480 DvNtsc the best. #4 Ryan Harrell View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message View Articles Junior Member Join Date Jan 2007 Location Fort Lauderdale Florida Posts 27 0

Then I decided to go back to my original iDVD file and add some audio to the menu section by going to the Media tab and dragging and dropping a song from my iTunes library. Tested it out in iDVD and it looks and sounds great but everytime I try to burn a DVD I keep getting this "There was an error during muxing preparation (project conversion)" error. It was working fine without the audio track, so something must be going on there. I've got 215 GB of HD space available. #1 bigcow, Dec 2, 2007 (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
