(rsReportParameterProcessingError) SQL Server > SQL Server Reporting Services, Power View Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi, i got this error when trying to run report in Reporting Services: Error during processing of ‘dateStart’ report parameter. (rsReportParameterProcessingError) my datestart parameter has this default value: =iif(day(today())>23 and day(today())<=31, CDate(Month(today()) &"/23/2009"), CDate(Month(today())-1 &"/23/2009")) the report works fine when i build it in local BI. but it returns error when i try to run the report on the server. no setting on server that's changed. anything i missed or i should check? thanks!AddinGanteng Tuesday, October 20, 2009 4:07 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote I think there are a few issues in your code: The first is that you are using the DateAdd function which returns a date and then using only the month number. You should resolve the year with a function, rather than hard-coding "2009". Another suggestion I have is that you use integers and native date types rather than converting strings to dates. Today() is an antiquated VBA function. It should work but I'd replace it with the newer VB.NET structure Now.Date()Try this:=IIF(DAY(Now.Date())>23 AND DAY(Now.Date())<=31, DateSerial(YEAR(Now.Date()), MONTH(Now.Date()), 23), DateAdd("m", -1, DateSerial(YEAR(Now.Date()), MONTH(Now.Date()), 23)))I've tested this with all dates between 1/1/2001 and 12/31/2005 with no errors. (rsReportParameterProcessingError)” The Event Log had the following entry: Dynamics Adapter LogonAs failed. Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.BusinessConnector.Session.Exceptions.FatalSessionException at Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.BusinessConnector.Session.DynamicsSession.HandleException(Stringmessage, Exception exception, HandleExceptionCallback callback) We later found out that this was due to incorrect Business Connector account, with my past experience I noticed this as a very common mistake people make during EP and Reporting Installations. Remember that the reports need to connect to the Dynamics Ax server to run the AxQueries., which needs to pass through the .NET Business Connector. To ensure everything works fine please note the following settings: 1) Your Report Server Service Account should be same as .NET Business Connector proxy account. 2) Ensure on the server which has Reporting Services installed
