At startup, I am getting a bunch of font-lock https://github.com/company-mode/company-mode/issues/368 errors: polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 655 (beg: 519 end: 1081) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 747 (beg: 519 end: 1081) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 787 (beg: 519 end: 1081) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 816 (beg: 519 end: 1081) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, https://github.com/vspinu/polymode/issues/54 899 (beg: 519 end: 1081) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 1360 (beg: 1081 end: 1622) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 1679 (beg: 1622 end: 2124) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 1746 (beg: 1622 end: 2124) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 1847 (beg: 1622 end: 2124) polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1, 2049 (beg: 1622 end: 2124) The file in question is a part of an unpublished book, which I cannot make public. But I have created private repository https://github.com/nrnrnr/polymode-error and have given you access. This should enable you to reproduce the error. nrnrnr commented Jul 28, 2015 This bug is a showstopper. I have some time to help, if you have time to track it down. vspinu referenced this issue Oct 12, 2015 Closed polymode font-lock error #51 billdenney commented Jan 24, 2016 I'm experiencing a similar issue. The file that I'm working with is attached. The most recent of the many similar errors is: polymode font-lock error: Args out of range: 1025, 1026 (beg: 1226 end: 1745) Introduction-a
an error (but not always after an error).Last time http://osdir.com/ml/general/2016-07/msg14269.html this happened was after I was trying to intentionally generate an error by evaluating (string-match-p "." nil)That was part of testing out some elisp, but that's http://www.gitterforum.com/discussion/syl20bnr-spacemacs?page=4821 a different story. I basically needed to try some snippet that would generate error and I came up with above.I later find that the above error during causes emacs to freeze when using my config, but not in emacs -Q (master branch).I can get out of the emacs freeze by hitting C-g. But then I get:Entering debugger...Error during redisplay: (jit-lock-function 1619) signaled (args-out-of-range 0 1622)Error during redisplay: (jit-lock-function 2119) signaled (args-out-of-range 0 2131)Error during redisplay: (jit-lock-function 2619) signaled error during redisplay (args-out-of-range 0 2684)Error during redisplay: (jit-lock-function 3119) signaled (args-out-of-range 0 3364)help-function-arglist: End of file during parsingError in post-command-hook (global-font-lock-mode-check-buffers): (quit)Error during redisplay: (jit-lock-function 1619) signaled (quit)Error during redisplay: (jit-lock-function 1620) signaled (quit)Quit [8 times]So then I repeated generating the above error to figure out what in my config is causing it (still haven't figured it out). The strange thing is that (string-match-p "." nil) generates proper backtrace as expected when using my config:Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument stringp nil) string-match("." nil) eval((string-match "." nil) nil) eval-_expression_((string-match "." nil) nil) funcall-interactively(eval-_expression_ (string-match "." nil) nil) call-interactively(eval-_expression_ nil nil) command-execute(eval-_expression_)Note that I simply replaced string-match-p with string-match. So error backtrace generation has been working fine for me, except that "(string-match-p "." nil)" triggers some bug in my config that causes emacs to freeze, and that's most likely what's wiping the bindings, except that I cannot recreate the binding loss scenario. In one of such intentionally gene
