trying to burn a DVD of an iMovie in iDVD, and an error Customer Question I am trying to burn a DVD of an iMovie in iDVD, and an error message keeps coming up during the first menu organization. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1572186?tstart=0 I don't know what's wrong or missing, or what to do about it. The burning process begins with PROCESS MENUS. That proceeds until it is completing, about 8 or 9 minutes. Then, it stops, and a message appears saying: "There was an error during rendering/encoding of the menus/slideshows. The burning process has been cancelled." That's all it says. No indications about what's wrong, or what I can do to fix it. I must burn this DVD for http://www.justanswer.com/mac-computers/4cl93-trying-burn-dvd-imovie-idvd-error.html class this morning. Please help me ASAP if you can. Submitted: 5 years ago. Category:Mac Share this conversation Expert: Daniel replied5 years ago. Hello, my name is Dan.I will do my best to help you, the only stupid question is the unasked one.Okay, there's a couple of things going on here.Did you change the volumes in iDVD or in the editing software for the movie? I mean such as iMovie? While in iDVD there is an item in the menu bar called Project, select Project info and see what it tells you. You will have information on how much information is being burned and how much room you have on your disk. If any of those are out of whack it will cancel. One thing that I find works some of the time is to quit iDVD, after saving the project, and re-opening it.If that fails then I will usually trash the plist. This resets iDVD but it does not do any damage to your projects.Open a finder window in column view, navigate to the preferences and locate the iDVD plist, drag it to the trash and open iDVD.You will need to expand the column to make it easier to find.Double-click those bars and it will expand to show you the entire name.Let me know how you make out.I also recommend making a disk image as opposed to burning discs, it will sa

Brand new i7 iMac, latest OSX updates, have been trying to do something incredibly simple...burn a DVD with iDVD! The file is a .mp4 rendered from Adobe Media Encoder. I error during tried different sizes, different formats, same result. Finally got a tip on the 2nd thread.. https://discussions.apple.com/message/5144580 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1561525?threadID=1561525 It seems you MUST go thru iMovie. The .mp4 was originally exported via Premiere from Adobe Media Encoder. I dragged the .mp4 into a new iMovie idvd error during project and then 'shared' it with iDVD. But why the heck can't iDVD give you a more descriptive error message....? I had the same problem last night. Try this: I recreated all the files using the Quick Time codec (.mov) files. It worked like a charm. I also had problems rendering the Menu files. It was a problem on the DVD theme track muted. Unmute it and voila! Hope it helps you!Return to posts indexReport Post<< PREVIOUS • VIEW ALL • PRINT • NEXT >>© 2016 CreativeCOW.net All Rights Reserved[TOP]
It offers no course of action so in Project Info I tried each quality, widescreen and standard, but each time I attempt to burn the dvd it will process the menus, render menu 1 of 1 and all 3 transitions and at the end of this segment I receive the same error message before it starts to process the slideshows of which there are three.
