Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ Logon rejected after Session Start QuickFIX/J Documentation: http://www.quickfixj.org/documentation/QuickFIX/J Support: http://www.quickfixj.org/support/ Hello all, I've encountered a problem for one of my FIX session. Here is the sequence of the scenario, 1. Fix session start before the session schedule start time. 2. Session schedule start time reached 3. Logon message received after session start 4. Session reset, Logout dfc_session_docbase_unreachable message was sent and session disconnected. Since, the counterparty only logon once per day, hence, the session cannot be connected the whole day afterwards. After checking, here is my foundings 1. When the FIX session start before start time, the session creation time was set at current time (which is also outside session time) 2. When the Logon message received after start time, we check the session time again and which is still outside session time, hence, it triggered to reset and sent out the logout message. Here is the part of the code in Session.java: https://community.emc.com/thread/96692?tstart=0 public synchronized void reset() throws IOException { if (resetting.get()) { return; } try { resetting.set(true); if (hasResponder()) { if (application != null && application instanceof ApplicationExtended) { ((ApplicationExtended) application).onBeforeSessionReset(sessionID); } generateLogout(); http://quickfix-j.364392.n2.nabble.com/Logon-rejected-after-Session-Start-td6876648.html disconnect("Session reset", false); } resetState(); } finally { resetting.set(false); } } In order to aviod this issue to happen, I need to do the reset way before the first logon message is received. The change I made is actually come from the C++ QuickFix, that is check the session time and do the reset when we set the responder. Here is the code I added: public void setResponder(Responder responder) { try { if (!checkSessionTimeNoCheck()) { getLog().onEvent("Session state is not current before setResponder; resetting " + sessionID); resetNoCheck(); } } catch (final IOException e) { LogUtil.logThrowable(getLog(), "error during session construction", e); } synchronized (responderSync) { this.responder = responder; if (responder != null) { stateListener.onConnect(); } else { stateListener.onDisconnect(); } } } Also, in order to avoid the checking of the message sequence number before doing the reset in SessionState.java as below: private boolean needReset() throws IOException { synchronized (lock)

Unfortunately, although matlab computes the answer, this is very slow and gives me a lot of identical errors (I think one for each iteration of error during session the loop): > In parallel_function at 447 In timingTestM>contains at 17 In timingTestM>(parfor body) at 7 In parallel_function>make_general_channel/channel_general at 886 In remoteParallelFunction at 31 Warning: Error caught during construction of remote parfor code. The parfor construct will now be run locally rather than on the remote matlabpool. The most likely cause of this is an inability to send over input arguments because of a serialization error. The error report from the caught error is: Error using ==> distcomp.remoteparfor.remoteparfor at 12 No current session exists to connect a parfor controller to Error in ==> parallel_function at 433 P = distcomp.remoteparfor(W, @make_channel, parfor_C); Error in ==> timingTestM>contains at 17 parfor k = 1:numel(vect) Error in ==> timingTestM>(parfor body) at 7 d = contains(r, 5); Error in ==> parallel_function>make_general_channel/channel_general at 886 F(C{:}); Error in ==> remoteParallelFunction at 31 out = distcompMakeByteBufferHandle(distcompserialize(feval(channel, channelArgs{:}))); Does anyone know what this means? I get this every time I try to run this particular function, but never with a different piece of test code run in the same session (I can post both if necessary). I don't get any static errors when I load the code, so I don't think it breaks any
