Libparted Bug Found Input/output Error During Read On /dev/sdb
bug . 1. Stuck at Samsung logo for ever 2. Recovery & download modes working luckily 3. Odin not working .... always stuck at Factoryfs. Tried almost every Rom /GB/ ICS/PIT/PDA/Kernels etc. Almost all combinations. But no sucess. Only http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111486&page=32 kernel can be flashed independently. 4. Flash form CWM not working again struck always .......... & if some ROM completed flashing then struck at samsung logo. 5. Means no success at all. So we both started searching the way out to resolve this. We have now 3 options left 1st go to samsung service center. But we can't go to Samsung service center directly due to binary counter count (i.e is 7). 2nd Try to hardbrick our mobile http://www.alliance-rom.com/threads/recovered-galaxy-note-from-superbricked-stage-from-ics-kernel-bug.8018/ & then go to samsung service centre. 3rd Find google or XDA LOL But yesterday we got something great ..................... and after lot of R&D/efforts ....... BINGO his phone is working again like a charm from last few hrs. We are still testing it. So I'll post results as soon as we are happy with it . Or if persons are interested I'll post method too. But obviously method is not mine/ours, we have only tried different methods from XDA & other forums ............. & some Hit & Trial off-course. EDIT: Now here is one of the easiest method which worked out of 3 methods we have tried. First of all thanks to " forest1971" from XDA for this detailed guide. For Original Thread Click Here Firstly few requirements before starting 1. Requires some basic knowledge of MS-DOS and adb (few simple commands). 2. Partitions can be delete and recreate like in a computer hdd but requires more skills. 3. You should have installed Kies, then the usb driver in your PC 4. It can worsen up your current state of phone. Try Samsung Service center first before attempting this. STEP1: The tools 1. Download and install the attached 4pda_kernel.tar, which has the partition tools and CWM with it, although it will raise flash counter. To avoid that you can download and install the CWM_4pda_kernel.zip (also attached in the post) by put

Join them; it only takes a minute: Sign up Here's how it works: Anybody error during can ask a question Anybody can answer The best answers are voted up and rise to the top Cannot access disk, partition table broken up vote 2 down vote favorite 1 I was so dumb, to turn of the power on my Readynas Ultra 4 when it was installing the disk (3TB WD Green), I had no time to wait for it as I was going output error during to return it (It was too damn noisy) The disk installation was at 0% and stayed like that for 2 minutes, so I decided to turn it off without really thinking about the consequences. Anyways, now it’s done, and I need to put it into my new NAS (Synology 413j), but that’s not going very good. The disk is recognized in BIOS, and I get it up as /dev/sdc when I run gparted live on USB. But it is not shown in Windows device manager or in Ubuntu. When I run sudo gparted on a live Ubuntu USB, I get Input/output error during read on /dev/sdc. I have tried more stuff in gparted live, but to sum it up, it is very similar to what's happening here: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1492414.html Up to the part where he runs badsectors, and get alot of errors, I ran badsectors -vs (I guess that is just read, and show output. I ran it for about 3000sectors, and for each block it counted the output was: (and so on) 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 140.00% done, 0:01 elapsed. (14/0/0 errors) 15 16 17 18 19 20 21
